On Thursday, the Crime Branch exposed a fraud call center running in Kakadev for the last three years and arrested the mastermind brother-in-law and two women. These people used to cheat people by making internet calls in the name of increasing credit card limit and redeeming reward points. They used to transfer the cheated money to rented accounts in Delhi, Orissa, Bihar and other states. According to the police, these people have cheated crores in three years, it is being investigated.
DCP Crime and Headquarters Ashish Srivastava said that for show, these people had opened Sharda Dog-Cat Feeds shop in the front and a call center was running behind it. Mastermind Abhishek Pratap Singh, resident of Naubasta Hanspuram and his brother-in-law Arun Pratap Singh, resident of Kalyanpur were caught from the front shop. Vibha Singh, resident of Rawatpur village and Shivanshi, resident of Naya Basti Adarshnagar Rawatpur were caught from the call center. These girls used to trap people by calling them. 11 mobile phones, 21 SIM cards, one pen drive, one laptop, one stamp, 15 debit, credit cards, five notebooks full of information and other documents have been recovered from the accused. ADCP Crime Manish Sonkar and ACP Crime said that the cyber and crime branch team that exposed this gang has been given a reward of Rs 25,000.
